Original artwork description
Reminiscent of hazy summer beaches at low tides. Headlands behind a coastal watery shimmer. The painting is open to interpretation but has a sense of place allowing the viewer to associate memories to colour and composition. Summerleaze sands is painted in acrylic with use of medium glazes to create smooth tones, as a contrast to the heavily impasto features creating a texture. Working as a diptych of two 80 cm square box canvasses that can either be fixed together, or be allowed to sperate slightly when hung
