Recently I have tried out new ways of expressing emotions and feelings with different mediums. Here I started to play around with watercolors and ink on canvas, enjoying the watery lightness of it and was completely absorbed in the structures that emerge from water.
"Summer Hope" can be seen as just a landscape with clouds and sea and a light rain on a lovely summer day, but can also be understood as emotions and feelings of sadness but also a lot of hope, dawn, lightness, airyness...
In this painting the emphasis lies on the light - where there is light, there is hope!
30x30x2 cm on gallery wrapped canvas. Signed on the back. Ready to hang. Sides painted white.
