Part of my new Miniature City Series, this painting is created in expressive impasto technique on a small format canvas. Building rich texture and atmosphere on such a compact surface requires precision and balance, making each piece both intimate and detailed.
For this work, I captured the unmistakable atmosphere of Santorini — white houses layered across the hillside, the blue sea opening into the horizon, and the light, carefree feeling of a Mediterranean summer holiday.
This painting has been freshly completed and, due to the rich impasto texture, requires additional drying time. It will be ready for shipment by the end of May.
