Landscape of Auvergne, France.

What struck me here, above all, was the architecture of a volcanic landscape. In the distance rises the phonolite dome, a mass of frozen lava with raw, austere, and grey ridges, tearing itself from the gentle curves of the plateau. I placed this mineral block at the center, like a silent monument, an anchor around which the entire landscape breathes and finds its rhythm.

Then, there is the play of shadows and fissures, typical of high-altitude light, and this field of wild grasses in the foreground, capturing the wind and the arid flora of the high plateaus.

What inspired me was the monumental solitude of the Mézenc: a harsh, windswept land, sculpted by erosion and raw light, where my gaze was irresistibly drawn to this solitary spine of stone, rising beneath a vast and turbulent sky.
