This seascape is inspired by gray clouds over the sea and their unusual, almost vertical reflections on the water. It was sketched on a gloomy day by the ocean when the clouds just started to disappear and the bright blue California sky was promising a sunny day. Impressionistic, painted alla prima on location, the painting is capturing the constant change of the sky and the movement of clouds and waves. The white, blue and gray color palette is enriched with warm yellow and orange which express the sun in indirect way on the sky and a shade darker - reflected on the sea surface. Gallery-wrapped, sides painted in blue, ready to hang if shipped within the US, rolled in a tube for international shipping.
