This oil painting is from a current group of works called 'Summer Series', inspired by my archive of family photographs.
Three beach belles, dresses tucked up, paddling in the sea, enjoying a perfectly marvellous day at the beach in pastel colours of seaside nostalgia.
Through layers and expressive brushwork the painting reflects sunny childhood summers through memory and reflection.
