Summer 23 (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by lucia dibi

Summer 23 begins with a fragment of the city caught in an ordinary moment: an unexpected angle, overlapping facades, a summer light slicing through volumes into sharp planes. As always in my work, everything starts from a digital photograph that I decompose, simplify and reduce to its essentials before bringing it onto the canvas.
Color is applied in flat, deliberate fields — dusty pink, olive green, cobalt blue, bright white — but the surface is never smooth: sand mixed into the acrylic gives it weight, physical presence, a texture the eye perceives even before touching it.
What I look for in works like this is the authenticity hidden in the ordinary: not the monument, but the corner we pass through every day without stopping. Painting is the way that moment stops moving.
The work is mounted on canvas, ready to hang.
Includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
