Sultry evening clouds
An original impressionistic oil painting on stretched canvas framed with a simple wooden strip beading for a contemporary style. Signed by Christopher Gill 2016.

Painted in a fresh, brushy and breezy style this atmospheric painting captures the pink, damson, mauve and pearly cloudscape gathering over the tranquil lake. Last minute swimmers splash in the warm water and a white sail yacht tacks across the calm lake.
Inspired by Christopher's visits to the stunning Lac D'Orient in Burgundy in August.
