Inspired by the delight of standing beneath a canopy of blossom and letting colour wash over you, Sugar Rush feels generous and enveloping, as though the flowers are suspended above you, creating a moment of pause where everything feels lighter, softer, and quietly joyful. Cherry pinks spill into creamy whites, warm golds and hints of lilac, building layers of colour that feel lush and almost edible. There is an indulgent sweetness running through the work, balanced by movement and energy, giving it a sense of vibrancy rather than stillness. The paint is applied with freedom and confidence, allowing drips, gestures and overlaps to remain visible, celebrating abundance rather than perfection. My aim is always to create paintings that feel like an escape, somewhere you want to spend time. This piece is about optimism, pleasure and colour as comfort, a bold yet reassuring presence that brings warmth, lift and a sense of playful luxury into a space. Due to it's size Sugar Rush ships rolled in a tube. This is much safer for the artwork in transit to prevent damage. Your local picture framers can re stretch the artwork to hang.
