Original artwork description
A sleepy village in the East of England, a place that reminds me of summer, a place where the air is scented with lilac, with hay, honeysuckle and roses. A corner of a lost paradise, where my heart aches with longing under a blue sky. The houses draw us down the street to a place where the sky meets the trees. It is timeless, reminiscent of pre-industrial times. The work is rich in colour and vivid in detail and texture. A lovely gift, a great addition to any collection, a perfect souvenir of England.
Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
