The abstract painting captures the essence of a fleeting moment. The motif was created from a randomly triggered, blurred photograph taken at night in St. Antoni de Portmany on Ibiza, whose contours, lights and shadows merge into a playful fusion of shapes and colours. The entire composition is permeated by a strong blurring that lends the work an almost dreamlike quality. The boundaries between reality and abstraction become blurred as the viewer's eye moves through the multi-layered blur. The picture radiates an enraptured atmosphere, as if time had stood still at this moment. The main colours, red and green, dance together in a contrast of complementary colours. The bright red pulsates in the blurred shapes, while the deep green mysteriously merges with the red. This colour palette lends the painting a passionate dynamism, which is further enhanced by the abstraction.
