An oil painting of street view of city of Udine in North Italy, region Friuli Venezia Giulia, inspired by a photograph of one of the locals.
Oil painting was my new 2022 year resolution - to start it properly and professionally and I am very pleased with the outcome. I have enjoyed every single moment painting this artwork, working with the material and enjoying the city-scene of my favorite Italian region. The ironwork of the street lights is astonishing , the coziness of open house windows through which you hear the ambient - someone cooking, someone watching TV, someone talking to their pet or kids and that distant calming sound of the surrounding mountains , whispering of the car tires on the street paving and complete absence of any stress or rush... Italians only rush home for their dinners.
