Going out and feeling all these eyes on you. Not kind looks, no. Insisting looks. On his face, on his chest, on his legs. Whether you're in a skirt, shorts, jeans or jogging pants. It looks everywhere, all the time. It follows us along the sidewalk, it takes its eyes off the road while driving, it peers two metro seats away...
What I like about this portrait is the expression on his face. Weary, jaded. Clearly, she's fed up. Tired of people looking at her in the street, tired of people stopping her to tell her to smile, tired of people whistling at her. To show this harassment that affects us all, all the time, I messed up his hair and put him in a basic t-shirt. Yes, because even in a basic t-shirt, you can be harassed in the street. No need for cleavage and a short skirt.
