Original artwork description
Acrylic mediums on canvas. The canvas is stretched and artwork is ready to hang. The artwork is not framed. A layer of varnish protects the artwork against UV light and dust. Sides are painted white.
The artwork is signed on the back.

About the artist:
Alanna Eakin completed a Fine Art Degree at Central Saint Martins London in 2010. Since graduating she has gone on to take part in several exhibitions, live events and art fairs in London and nationwide. Alanna is currently working and living in London out of Wimbledon Art Studios.
Alanna's work has an initial immediacy when she creates, using bold colours to wash the canvas building up several layers and balancing the colours around the canvas. She uses a mixture of mediums to layer, edit and experiment. Later there becomes a play off of spontaneity and controlled abstract mark-making.
Alanna is inspired by the colours and sensations found in nature. She has a combined fascination with patterns and motifs found on feminine vintage fabrics and pottery. It the combination of the two elements Alanna wishes to revive, restore and celebrate in her work.
Alanna's approach is inspired by the likes of Joan Mitchell, Helen Frankenthaler, Tracey Emin, Peter Doig, and Georgia O'Keeffe.
