Storminess and Wilderness are original paintings in my Ness Arch Series

They will each be in double antique white arch mounts in 8 x 10 inch black wood frames. Some of the 'frames' shown are digitally created ones for online display purposes but there are also images of real frames likely to be used.

1) Storminess is an imaginative watercolour painting in my Ness Arch series. It's about mood and atmosphere rather than tied to a specific location. The arch mounts are used as symbolic of portals and doorways to memories of places, journeys and passing storms with their atmospheric and dramatic skies. There is also symbolism to the tree standing strong throughout the storminess. A kind of metaphor for surviving storms of life.

2) Wilderness is an imaginative and evocative painting which whilst it has it's roots in the Highlands it's about mood and atmosphere rather than being tied to a specific place. The tree is symbolically reaching out towards the wilderness through the arched doorway.

All watercolour and mixed media paintings are created on heavyweight acid free watercolour paper. All paints used are professional artist's quality. Paintings are mounted in professionally cut acid free conservation mounts.

Frames are usually made of wood and sourced from local framers. Flexible tabs are used to fix the backs of the frames to make it easier to reframe paintings in a frame of the Collector's choosing if they wish to do so.

All my paintings are unique originals. I don't do copies or prints of any of my paintings.
