Original artwork description
Stolen Time 151 is a painting made during the Covid years. I appreciated having time during the different lockdowns to focus solely on painting. My paintings from this period are very much inspired by the Sussex landscape around my studio and the Ashdown Forest on my doorstep. This nature connection is not necessarily obvious, as this is an abstract painting, but nevertheless the oaktrees, fields, river, birds and more that I encountered on my walks to and from the studio have somehow crept into the work. In my painting practice I am led by colour and I strive to create paintings with presence. This painting is framed in black and is ready to hang.
