Part of the Still Standing series, this piece is rooted in a slow process of observation, return, and reflection.
Inspired by the quiet endurance of trees, it draws from surfaces shaped over time—scarred, layered, and unguarded. Their texture, their peeled skin, their roughness, their raw, unfiltered color became a language of their own—one that speaks not of perfection, but of truth.
Built through accumulated layers, the painting holds a sense of time within it. Marks are left visible. Surfaces are not resolved, but allowed to exist as they are—weathered, exposed, and honest.
This is not a depiction of trees, but a response to what they carry. A reflection on resilience not as something polished, but as something lived—marked by experience, shaped by pressure, and still present.
