In this still life, I wanted to explore the delicate dance of light as it passes through glass. The arrangement of three vintage glass bottles, each with its own unique shape and density, provided a perfect subject for studying transparency and reflections.
The vibrant orange serves as a warm emotional anchor against the cool, calming turquoise background. By playing with these complementary colors, I aimed to create a sense of balance and quiet presence. This work is about the beauty of simple objects and how light can transform everyday glassware into something atmospheric and almost ethereal.
Artist's Note: This piece was created in my studio, where I could carefully control the lighting to capture the precise "spark" on the glass surfaces. I used acrylics to build the layers quickly, maintaining the spontaneity of the brushstrokes.
