Original artwork description
This artwork was painted from life on plein air in the garden under the bright summer sun. Peonies are one of my favorite flowers, so every summer I paint at least one painting with them. Peonies always bloomed in my grandmother's garden; this flower is associated with summer, strawberries, freedom, and vacations. The painting is fresh, painted in the alla prima technique, in the impressionistic style.
This is a one-of-a-kind professional work of art.
Measures 60 cm x 80 cm (2 cm deep) it is painted onto gallery stretched canvas and with high quality oil paints, varnished for extra protection. The painting is sold unframed.
Each work by Olena Kolotova is signed front and back and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity for the painting.
All paintings are packed very carefully in cardboard boxes (recycled where possible) with generous layers of bubble wrap to protect them.
