Plenty of horse chestnut trees near me, and the conkers are falling fast at the moment which has reminded me to post this watercolour. Going back many years to my boyhood, we used to play a knock out game with them. They were drilled and threaded, and taken in turns to bash the other guy's conker. if you smashed his to smithereens then you had won
