In this oil painting, a still life is depicted in the cool, ethereal light of blue moonlight. The scene is set on a table, upon which sits a red jug, its surface glowing in the pale, otherworldly light. Next to the jug is a bowl filled with plump, yellow lemons, their glossy skin reflecting the blue tones of the moonlight. Across from the lemons is a tall turquoise vase, its surface intricately detailed and adorned with a bouquet of violet flowers. The flowers themselves are rendered in delicate strokes of paint, their petals seeming to almost shimmer in the blue moonlight.
