Still life apple is another in what is becoming my favourite style. A sense of realism, yet abstracted with visible brush strokes. This time the majority of the painting is done with a palette knife to give expression to the painting.

Once painted I added a glaze to the front ledge to add a touch of the background colour to create a bit more unity.

The painting will fit in any frame designed for an 8 x 8 inch (20 x 20 cm) as seen in the display photos. Taken with the glass out the 3 mm sealed MDF board is a perfect fit.
