- Sculpture at the oak park
Original artwork description
The artwork original name is “Lake STARNBERG”.
In Starnberg Park, Bavaria, Germany in the shade of a large oak tree, I saw a beautiful sculpture. The exhausted athlete, who has collapsed on the skin of some animal, is resting, according to the assumption, after a hard fight.
I do not know whom the sculptor exalted, but the figure blended into the park alley so that it bewitches with its power and beauty.
In the Japanese language, a term to describe the colour green is midori, which comes from ‘to be in leaf’ or ‘to flourish’. Vital to landscape painting, green flourished immensely in artworks from the 19th century.
Green has been used to signify freedom and independence through the 20th century onwards.
