This is one of a series of paintings I am doing of the beautiful fishing villages along the coast in the East Neuk Of Fife, Scotland.
This is St Monans harbour viewed on a fairly misty day. I wanted to communicate the calm but moodiness of this misty day and the quietness of the harbour when the tide is is out.
What drama, both human and of Nature these harbours have witnessed. For good reason the harbour walls are so massive. It is a wonderful place.
