On the Florida Panhandle, this boat is moored by the outside of the marina. It has been there a long time, or at least it had been when I painted it. As I stood there painting, a number of people who live near the marina told me varying stories about the St. Anna. Some said fishing boat, some said drug smuggling boat, and some other stories. I think the rear of the boat was taking on some water, as the front was sitting up real high as I have painted it. Maybe "real high" isn't the best choice of words if it was a drug boat. :-)
Painted on stretched canvas in high quality lightfast oil paints, coated with a thin layer of varnish. Initialed on the front of the painting, lower right corner.
Painted on location, en plein aire, this painting comes to you unframed.
