This painting was inspired by a sunset walk near St. Angelo Bridge in Rome, with St. Peter’s Basilica visible beyond the river. I was drawn to the way the fading light softened the architecture and reflected on the Tiber, and I used expressive impasto texture to convey that quiet, glowing atmosphere.
