A painting of one of many aspects of St Andrews Cathedral ruins, illuminated here in evening sunlight.
Built in the 12th century, the Cathedral has been an important part of the history of St Andrews, and also the history of Scotland. It fell into ruin in the 16th century during the Scottish reformation.
This painting also includes St Rule's tower, which actually predates the cathedral. St Andrews has a fascinating history and many historic building of great interest.
