Original artwork description:

Abstract textured acrylic painting on canvas 90x90x2cm. Mixed Media on gallery wrapped canvas. The work is ready to hang. No framing required. The sides of the work are painted.

The artwork is signed, dated and titled. Original artwork with signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Style: semi-abstract. My technique shows some influence from abstract expressionism and modern art. I use original mixed media, in which undiluted acrylic paint, ink, gel medium, structure paste are applied to the canvas.

I like to paint impasto abstract paintings. I use spatulas, tubes for writing and usual knives for fruits to build three-dimensional flowers and surfaces in my pictures.

About this painting:

Because I am inspired by Eckhart Tolle's books in painting and in everyday life, I would like to insert his excerpt from his book "A New Earth", which I freely translated, into the description.

“As you begin to grow up, uncertainty about your sexual identity and subsequent realization that you are "different" may cause you to drop identification with conditioned patterns of thought and behavior. This automatically raises your level of consciousness above that of the unconscious majority, whose members take all the inherited patterns for granted without being asked. In that regard, being homosexual can help. Being a kind of misfit, someone who doesn't "fit in" with others or is turned away for whatever reason makes life difficult, but it also has advantages when it comes to enlightenment. It kind of forces you out of the unconscious.
However, if you then develop an identity based on your homosexuality, you have escaped one trap only to fall into a new one. Then you will play roles and games based on an image you have of yourself as a homosexual. You will become unconscious. You will become fake. Behind your ego mask you will become very unhappy. If this happens to you, your homosexuality has become an obstacle. But of course there are always new opportunities. Acute unhappiness can become a great pick-me-up.”
