There is something about this painting that feels like love that cannot sit still. I painted it in layers of movement, letting colour collide and spill across the canvas, building a garden that feels alive, expressive and slightly untamed. The bold reds, violets and whites push forward against a glowing yellow backdrop, like flowers reaching into sunlight at their most vibrant moment.
I did not want this piece to feel delicate or quiet. It is about a love that is full of energy, a little chaotic, and completely unapologetic. The kind of love that grows wildly, takes up space and brings joy with it.
At the base, a deep blue vase anchors the composition, grounding all that movement while still echoing the richness of the surrounding colour. There is a balance between control and freedom throughout the painting, with expressive marks, drips and gestures creating texture and depth.
For me, this piece feels like a gesture. Something you would give to someone when words are not quite enough. A way of saying I love you in colour, in energy, in something that lasts.
