This is a floral painting inspired by the photorealist paintings of Gerhard Richter. The yellow flowers pop against the blue background, which itself takes on slightly differing tones depending on the light. The main gallery photo is taken in daylight and the studio image indoors. The overall blurred effect of the bloom gives the piece an unworldly sense of realism.
