This painting is based on a photograph I took of a CSX railway trestle in a very rural area of Clark County, Kentucky, USA. Painted in a naive style that is reminiscent of Grandma Moses, this work shows the trestle in the mountains of Appalachia in late spring with fog rising from the forested slopes after a rain.
This painting is on a 1.5 inch gallery wrapped canvas that is painted white on the sides and ready to hang. The work is finished in a satin varnish to protect it from UV rays and dust.
