Spoon loop # 785
A wooden spoon rests in a loop of walnut wood. This loop is very finely sawn, not curved. The ends are subtly covered with 24 carat gold leaf so that the natural character is retained, but the couple is given a luxurious touch. The spoon itself is carved from birch wood and, like the bow, is treated with natural hard wax oil. My signature is branded on the bottom of the sheet. This object is a tribute to the wooden spoon, which has had a deeper meaning in many cultures over thousands of years until today. The weight together is only 52 grams. The spoon alone measures 14x4.7x3.2 cm, with the bow 19x14x4.7cm
