I love birds. I especially love small birds with big personalities like finches, sparrow, robins. With ruffled and beautifully rich coloured feathers.
I love how they puff themselves up to look bigger than they are. They look very characterful and full of personality.
This is the first in a series of miniature paintings of sparrows and painting miniatures is something I haven't done for some time, although I used to do so all the time.
