There is a story in every sculpture waiting to be uncovered uniquely by the spectator. The sculpture does not need an accompanying essay. Looking and feeling will engender thoughts in the mind of the onlooker who can be trusted to reach their own conclusion.
The bronze ring turns freely on the slate composite base. The fixed sphere is finished with pulverised metal leaf.
A feature of sculpture is that it can be moved from place to place, enriching new surroundings, creating a relationship with other objects in that space and refreshing the perspective of the viewer.
Slate composite is real Cornish slate dust bound by resin.
