This painting is so dear to my heart because it brings me joyful memories of my childhood. Being fond of birds as a child, i had a cage with about 3 small birds. I woke up one day and to my dismay, the cage had been ripped open ( probably by a cat), and the birds were out. Not too sure whether they had been eaten or had flown. That made me sad to tears, but consoled myself with the hope that my birds we safe and free to fly around again.
