Title: SONGS FROM THE SEA Size unframed: 70 x 70 x 4 cm | 27.5 x 27.5x 1.5 inches. Sides are painted white. Unframed and ready to hang. Signature front and verso, also signed Certificate of Authenticity Year: 2024 Medium: acrylic, watercolour, oil pastels and texture on canvas. I love this combination of colours because it reminds me of the beautiful sea.

By building up many layers of texture and colour, using brushes and palette knives, Angelika creates a rich surface and vibrant relationships between random shapes and deliberate markings in her work. She also uses watercolour and oil pastels to heighten the impressions and create depth and movement in her paintings. The drips in Angelika’s work illustrate the endless cycle of growth and decay in organic structures, which again is a reflection of life itself.

Materials used:

Acrylic Paint, Watercolour, Texture & Oil Pastels
