I am motivated by colour and love to make bright mixed media collages. I use many different materials including newsprint and magazine cuttings and sometimes textile fragments. I also collect and use items from travels (near and far) such as paper napkins, menus and flyers. However I make my own acrylic monoprints and these form the biggest part of the acrylic collages that I make. The papers I want to use (from a vast collection) are selected and then cut or torn to the shape needed. They are then assembled to form a semi abstract composition and in this case were fixed to mountboard. The image is surrounded by a white mount ready for framing.
