This painting is as much about feeling as it is about form. I built the surface with thick, sculptural layers of texture paste — especially in the lower part — until it felt like the land itself was rising through the canvas. Then I worked oil paint over it, letting each mark, shadow, and light evolve slowly.

The sky above is a soft glow of possibility — you sense that something is happening just beyond what we can see. The thick textures below hold weight, grounding the composition in contrast to the airier tones above. It’s a painting of tension and resolution, light and matter, doubt and wonder.
