Original artwork description
I fell in love with the village instantly, a place of golden cottages and shimmering heat, hedgerows and flowers growing rampantly. Everything was as it should be, neat and ordered with a touch of wildness. It was Sunday morning, and it was summer, and this was England. From across the village, a bell tolled, turtle doves cooed, and there was the merest hint of classical music from a radio. Sheep cry out, the muffled sound of a single lawn mower. The work is filled with colour and summery joy. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished. Texture has been added to given extra depth.
