In this piece, I aimed to capture the amber heat of a late summer sunset, as Autumn approaches. The firey Cadmium sky, against the deep Prussian blue, is a striking palette. The painting is slightly textured and catches the light, making the colours burst and glow and reflect.
My paintings are often inspired by my love and fascination with ever-changing skies and cloud formation. I try to capture the movement and mood of the skies and sea - Calm and dreamy, to dramatic and surreal.
