I have always loved this corner of Soho, a small retro shop brimming with Italian delicacies, hunks of cheese, biscuits, exotic packages. The heady scent of coffee, freshly roasted, dark chocolate, and fresh pasta in a variety colours and shapes.
Outside, I love the green and black contrast outside, reminiscent of an American Grasshopper cocktail. A parcel of bright blue sky above. This work is evocative and unusual. It is rich in detail, colorful and cheerful, a wonderful addition to any collection of British art. Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
