I created this abstract seascape painting as a reflection of soft light unfolding across open water — a quiet interaction between atmosphere, reflection, and layered texture.

Working with acrylic on canvas, I developed the composition through multiple textured layers using palette knife and expressive brushwork. Shades of pale blue, soft lavender, ivory, white, charcoal, and warm ochre create contrast and depth while maintaining an airy and luminous atmosphere.

The composition is built around a reflective central space where light dissolves into layered color and texture. Darker passages anchor the painting, while soft transitions of lavender and silver-blue create openness and movement across the canvas. Textured surfaces, expressive marks, and subtle drips add rhythm and material depth throughout the composition.

I wanted this work to feel calm yet emotionally immersive — like standing before endless reflective water touched by changing light. The textured surface reacts beautifully to natural and artificial light, revealing delicate nuances of pale blue, blush lavender, ivory, charcoal, and soft ochre throughout the day.
