Auvergne landscape, France.

There was no movement, not a sound. Just the solidity of the earth asleep beneath its blanket of snow, the permanence of the mountain, and the sky, an intense and cloudless blue. Yet, life is there, silent, nestled in a gentle hollow of the valley, sheltered in the warmth of the stone, in the heart of the vast whiteness.

The white finish on the sides of the canvas allows it to be hung without a frame, should you wish.

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
