In this painting, I aim to capture a quiet, fleeting moment of winter. The falling snow and muted street outside form a subdued backdrop, while the warm drink, teapot, cake, and open book inside suggest comfort and contemplation. The window becomes a boundary between two worlds—a psychological space that separates cold from warmth while allowing awareness to pass through.
Technically, I use loose, rhythmic brushstrokes to convey the movement of snow, contrasting cool and warm tones to heighten the emotional difference between exterior and interior. Variations in paint thickness and visible marks allow the scene to breathe, giving a sense of time passing within stillness.
