The symmetry feels ceremonial, almost sacred, yet the atmosphere is charged with tension. You instinctively feel that something important is about to be decided.
The work subtly echoes the structure of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but here innocence has matured into awareness. The cats replace the dwarfs as guardians of intuition and judgment. Their direct gazes create a psychological pull — you don’t just look at the painting, you are silently evaluated by it.
