The work subtly echoes the structure of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but here innocence has matured into awareness. The cats replace the dwarfs as guardians of intuition and judgment. Their direct gazes create a psychological pull — you don’t just look at the painting, you are silently evaluated by it.
The white table becomes a boundary: between logic and instinct, obedience and independence, the known and the unspeakable. The framed painting on the wall within the painting acts as a symbolic mirror, recalling the fairy-tale mirror, yet offering no answers — only presence.
