Inspired by the Spanish slugs' invasion.
Invaders turn into trees, and some blackbirds turn into slugs. Metamorphoses unfold in a world that has been taken over. Slugs become trees, and trees are supposed to be something good, after all - they give us oxygen. So the invaders have brought something useful too. We are good, they say, you’ll see, just let yourselves be conquered. We will make you trees, and you will breathe through us. Just surrender your independence. We are not invaders; we bring goodness. You never had this before. Oh, did you? Well, before us it was worse - we are the improvement! From now on you will lean on our branches in your daily life, and soon you won’t remember how you ever lived without us.
