This sculpture suggests a figure in limbo or suspended animation, like a nomad belonging to neither the past nor future but rather existing in a fluid state.

The ceramic figure is wrapped in fabric which is then treated with a resin iron/copper mix. The cocoon like binding of the figures, along with their closed eyes and introspective expressions suggest a state of concealment and protection but also the possibility of their transformation and metamophosis.
