My fifth painting inspired by the sight of skaters in the temporary skating rink set up in Prices Street Gardens, Edinburgh each Winter. The movement and personal interrelationships within each group of skaters, especially families, interest me. It amazes me how much character can be conveyed with body language and skating brings that aspect out well.
