Original artwork description:

Serene skyscape.

Painted after an inspiring trip to the northern most tip of Denmark. This calming oil landscape depicts the huge skies and flat lands of Skagen in Jutland. It is an extraordinary place with an unusual atmosphere, so much so, that the region had its own 'School of Skagen' painters during the Impressionist late 1800's.

A delicate blue sky with soft white and grey clouds, which reflect on the sea below, casting a dark shadow that passes across the water.

An oil painting that brings the fresh air of northern Denmark and the cool breezes of Summer from this unique part of the world.

The edges of the canvas are extra deep - 3.5cm - and a clean white, so artwork could be displayed framed or unframed (please see additional photograph).

Strung and ready to hang.

Signed on the rear and Certificate of Authenticity provided.
