- Sisters on a Purple Sofa
Artwork description
I read once that artists have a central image and continue to paint that image over and over. That might be true for me. I certainly draw, print, and paint a lot of sister imagery. I have six sisters. Sometimes, we are close and, sometimes, we are not so close. In this image, at least four figures are very close, touching, overlapping, and intertwining. I don't think we are physically that close, but I think we are in a very positive spot, mentally and emotionally...at least for now!:)
Materials used:
linoleum, carving tools, printing paper and ink, watercolor and gouache
Details:
- Linocut on Paper
- From a limited edition of 1
- Size: 40.64 x 55.88cm (unframed) / 35.56 x 55.88cm (actual image size)
